We’ve added some new options to Product Grouping, giving you greater control over how product totals are displayed on Quotes, Sales Orders and other relevant records.

Use Populate Group Details to automatically create groupings for all products on a Quote or Sales Order.

There’s also more choice over the information included within each group. Alongside the Category and Description, you can choose to display:

• Discount % – the overall discount percentage for products in the category
• Discount – the total value discounted
• Category Cost Subtotal – the total buy price
• Category Subtotal – the total value before discount
• Category Subtotal with Discount – the total value after discount

Totals, including margin and discount information, are automatically calculated from the associated product lines. If those product lines change, existing groups are updated when the record is applied or saved.

You can choose which subtotal columns are visible through Additional Settings for Invoices, Purchase Orders, Quotes and Sales Orders.

Overall, the changes make it easier to create clearer, more useful product breakdowns, while giving you control over how much detail you want to show.
